Emma: |
On your own, Jack? Where’s Francesca? |
|
Jack: |
Fran? Oh, she’s off to London on the coach again. It’s like a drug. |
|
Emma: |
The Grasshopper coach? I heard it’s good value. |
|
Jack: |
That’s the trouble. Fran just says (adopting a ‘posh’ accent) "the fare’s less than you waste on beer, Jack." Then she spends a fortune on shopping, or a show. |
|
Emma: |
(Over-casually) Um, by the way, what time do they run? |
|
FVO: ("Francesca" accent) |
Luxurious Grasshopper coaches. They leave at 9.30. Hop up to London and back every day of the week if you like, for just twelve pounds. (Lowers voice) But don’t tell Jack. |
